Itinerary

Arrive in Guwahati | Transfer to Shillong (100km, 3hrs)
- After the group assembles at the pick-up point in Guwahati (11am in the morning), directly head to Shillong. A brief introduction will be shared by the trip leader. Stop at Nongpoh for some refreshments if needed.
- Firstly, stop at the beautiful Umium lake and soak in the view, you can also enjoy some water activities around there.
- Upon reaching Shillong, have lunch and explore the bustling local market, enjoying thrift shopping. End the day with a cup of coffee in a cafe, taking in the excitement for tomorrow's Mawryngkhang trek. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Hike to Scariest trek of Meghalaya | Bamboo Trek
- After breakfast, embark on an adventurous day trip from Shillong to experience the unique Meghalaya Bamboo Trek near Wahkhen village, approximately 50 km away. Depart from Shillong around 7-8am for a scenic 1.5-2 hour drive, arriving at the trek's starting point.
- A local guide will accompany you for the Bamboo trek. The 3-5 hour round trip involves descending to the Wahrew River and crossing thrilling bamboo bridges and skywalks clinging to cliffs, leading to the panoramic Mawmoit viewpoint and the optional challenging climb to Mawryngkhang rock.
- On return to Wahkhen village from the Mawryngkhang trek by mid-afternoon, dip in the natural pool and get refreshed. Later drive back to Shillong. Have a scrumptious meal and relax in the homestay.
- Please Note: You can only have a proper meal once you hike up as there's no facilities for food. It is suggested to pack water and snacks properly.

Cherrapunji sightseeing
- After a delicious breakfast and yesterday's thrilling experience of Bamboo trek, head out for a pleasant exploration of the natural wonders of Cherrapunji.
- Begin your journey at the breathtaking Seven Sister Falls, a majestic spectacle of seven cascading waterfalls. Next, venture into the mysterious Mawsmai Cave or Arwah Cave, a labyrinthine wonder that will take your breath away.
- One of the highlight of your day will be visit and swim into the Janailar Waterfall, a secluded gem that is sure to captivate your senses.
- After a satisfying lunch, proceed to the iconic Nohkalikai Waterfall, India's highest plunge waterfall. Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of water cascading down a staggering 1,100 ft. Experience the magic of sunset at Nohkalikai, a truly unforgettable moment that will etch itself in your memory forever.
- Return to the warmth of your homestay, relishing a delectable dinner and sharing stories of your adventures.

Hike to Double decker living root bridge
- After a hearty breakfast, drive to Nongriat in Tyrna village of Sohra, which is also the starting point of your adventure.
- Begin your downward trek to the legendary Double Decker Root Bridge, a marvel of nature that will leave you spellbound. With 3,000 steps leading you down to the bridge, the trek can be challenging, but the reward is well worth the effort.
- Reach the Double Decker Root Bridge and marvel at its unique beauty. Take your time to soak in the serene atmosphere and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding forests.
- Have snacks amidst nature's splendour, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. On return, have a scrumptious lunch and relax witnessing yet another beautiful sunset. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Cherrapunji to Dawki/Shnongpedeng (85km, 3hrs)
- Embark on an adrenaline-pumping adventure to Shnongpedeng, a paradise for thrill-seekers. Spend the morning indulging in a range of exciting activities. Choose from boating, cliff jumping, scuba diving, zip lining, and more.
- Later, savor a delicious lunch and recharge for the next leg of your journey.
- Next, head to Mawlynnong, famously declared Asia's cleanest village. This picturesque village is a testament to community effort and sustainable living. Take a leisurely stroll through the village's immaculate streets, lined with quaint cottages and vibrant flowers. You can also explore the Single-decker living root bridge.
- As the day draws to a close, settle into your cozy accommodations within the village, immersing yourself in the tranquil atmosphere and warm hospitality of the locals.

Dawki to Shillong via Jowai | En-route Jowai sightseeing (110km, 3hrs)
- Begin the day with a hearty breakfast, fueling up for a thrilling adventure to two of Meghalaya's most breathtaking waterfalls.
- First, head to the majestic Krangsuri waterfall, nestled in a lush green valley. The roar of the falls grows louder as you approach, and the sight of the crystal-clear waters cascading down the rocky slopes will leave you awestruck. You can enjoy swimming with life-jacket on or simple can soak in the view.
- Next, make your way to the enchanting Phe Phe falls, a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. A walk of about 20mins will allow you to witness this massive majestic waterfall.
- As the day draws to a close, begin your journey back to Shillong, carrying with you memories of the stunning waterfalls and the natural beauty of Meghalaya. Return to your cozy accommodations in Shillong.
