Best Winter Spiti packages 7N/8D

Overview

Overview

Your Spiti Valley tour Packages begins with an overnight journey from Delhi to Shimla, followed by a beautiful drive to Sangla. The mountains slowly rise around you, giving the first taste of Spiti Valley landscapes. On the way to Tabo through Chitkul, Khab, and Nako, you realise why choosing the best time to visit Spiti Valley makes the journey even more magical.

From Tabo, you explore Dhankar Monastery, Pin Valley, and reach Kaza — the heart of every Spiti Valley tour packages. The next day takes you to Langza, Komic, and Hikkim, three iconic villages that look stunning no matter the season. Clear skies, especially during the best time to visit Spiti Valley, make each viewpoint unforgettable.

You then visit Key Monastery, Kibber, and Chicham Bridge — highlights often compared to the beauty of a Manali to Spiti Valley tour. Finally, you travel to Kalpa, return to Shimla, and head back to Delhi with warm mountain memories.

Day by day

Itinerary

  1. 1

    Delhi to Shimla (Overnight Journey)

Your adventure begins as you meet the group at the boarding point in Delhi—R.K. Ashram
or Majnu Ka Tila. Settle into your AC Volvo bus for an overnight journey to Shimla. Rest
comfortably as you leave the bustling city behind and move towards the mountains.

  2. 2

    Shimla to Sangla

On reaching Shimla in the morning, your Spiti Valley road expedition officially starts. Drive
through winding mountain roads, following the scenic flow of the Sutlej River. As you cross
Karcham, the landscape grows more dramatic. From here, the road turns towards Sangla—a
peaceful village nestled along the Baspa River. Reach your homestay, settle in, and enjoy the
    cool, quiet Himalayan air.

  3. 3

    Sangla – Chitkul – Khab – Nako – Tabo

After breakfast, drive towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Indo-China
border, famous for its stunning landscape and wooden houses. From Chitkul, continue your
journey towards the Khab Bridge, where the Spiti and Sutlej Rivers meet. Pass by the
beautiful Nako region and enjoy Himalayan views throughout the drive. En route, take a
detour to Gue Village, home to a 500-year-old naturally preserved mummy. By evening,
    reach Tabo.

  4. 4

Tabo – Dhankar Monastery – Pin Valley – Kaza

Begin your day by visiting Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically between mountains.
Its ancient architecture and breathtaking views make it one of Spiti’s highlights. If weather
permits, take a short hike to Dhankar Lake. From here, drive into the serene Pin Valley,
known for its frozen landscapes and villages like Mudh. Later, continue onward to reach
    Kaza.

  5. 5

    Kaza – Langza – Komic – Hikkim

Spend the day exploring high-altitude villages. Visit Hikkim, home to the world’s highest
post office, then continue to Komic—one of the highest motorable villages—where you can enjoy lunch. Later, explore Langza, known for its giant Buddha statue and fossils. Return to
    Kaza by evening.

  6. 6

Kaza – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge – Back to Kaza

Visit Key Monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti, before heading to Kibber, known for
snow leopard sightings. Continue to Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge. After
sightseeing, return to Kaza for the night.

  7. 7

    Kaza to Kalpa

Start early for the long drive from Kaza to Kalpa. As you descend from the cold desert back
into greener Himalayan regions, enjoy the changing landscapes. Reach Kalpa by evening and
explore the quiet village with views of Kinner Kailash.

  8. 8

Kalpa to Shimla – Departure for Delhi

After breakfast, begin your drive to Rampur for a lunch break, then continue towards
Shimla. Reach Shimla by evening and board the overnight Volvo back to Delhi.

  9. 9

    Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi between 7–8 AM, marking the end of your winter Spiti expedition.
